Livelihood development
(i) Orchard based livelihood The Wadi Programme
Under the Wadi programme, one acre land will be planted with fruits plants along with forestry plants on the boundary, vegetables & food crop as intercrop and water structure. The programme is planned with family as a unit. In the 4th year, fruit production, fuel woods, fodder, and timber will start generating income for family. Plants species are selected based on their suitability to the project area, their income generation potential and preferences of the participating family.

(ii) Soil conservation
To increase the in-situ moisture content of the soil, we proposed bunds cum trenches in the very first year of plantation which help in reducing number of protective irrigation and soil erosion resulting good growth of plants. Farm bunding for 900 acres will be done thus covering total of 900 acres land.
(iii) Water resources development
There is a need to develop water resources for better management practices. It includes activities like:
A. Group activity (3-5 Families): Water Lifting Devices – Diesel Engine, Electric Motor etc.
B. Water Distribution Devices ( Pipe, Garden pipe )
C. Group activity (3-5 Families ):Well /Borewell development through repairing / deepening
Training/ capacity building
The capacity building shall be accomplished through regular interactions, method demonstrations, trainings and exposure visits of participants (with special emphasis on women). The trainings shall cover various aspects related to Wadi Programme, Soil Conservation, WRD, Community Mobilization, Vegetable Cultivation etc.
Health/ sanitation
The health programme will aim to benefit the community by the ongoing government health delivery system through convergence as well as link with the existing health infrastructure for referral services. It will be done through clean kitchen (Glass tiles, improved stove, home / well chlorination), kitchen garden and save drinking water.
Micro enterprises for landless participants:
The project area consists of 12.30% of landless families having less than one acre. The support to the landless in some cases will be given in 2 phases. Following activities are finalized based on the discussion with participants.
1. Skill Based such as Carpenter , Mason,
2. Service Based such as Cycle repairing shop.
3. Agri / Livestock such as, Goat Keeping, Poultry, & Vegetable Cultivation etc.
4. Trading such as Grocery Shop, Vegetable Seller, etc.
